It is an unusual record for Cristiano Ronaldo. In 14 games against Chelsea, the Portuguese international only scored one goal. It took place in May 2008, in the final of the Champions League, in which CR7 would later miss a penalty.
Manchester United host Chelsea this Sunday at Old Trafford, in what will be the first game for the red devils in the Premier League since the departure of Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer (last Tuesday they beat Villarreal 2-0 in the Champions League).
Ronaldo, as he knows how to do so well, did the trick on the foot, opening the scoring in the game that marked the debut of Michael Carrick as interim coach at United. This Sunday will have another challenge ahead, at a time when the red devils they occupy eighth place in the Premier League standings, with 17 points from 12 matches (5 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses).
It is not easy to guess, however, for the Portuguese international. Chelsea lead the competition (29 points in 12 games), having the defense less beaten (only four goals conceded). CR7 has 10 goals since signing his return to the Old Trafford club, four of them in the Premier League (the remaining six have scored in five Champions League games).
