The controversy in Serie A is installed. With four teams isolated (Bologna, Salernitana, Torino and Udinese) by the health authorities, the leadership of the league met in an emergency this Wednesday to decide the actions to be taken.
And the result turns out to be surprising, as the UEFA protocol will remain in force (whoever has 13 players, with a goalkeeper, negative, must go to the game). According to the Sky Sport Italy, Serie A will not postpone the matches (which means that the four teams will have no-shows) and are preparing legal proceedings against the local health authorities for the confinements enacted.
The body that regulates the Italian championship points out the new rules imposed by the Rome executive to counter health decisions. The rules dictate that all people in possession of the complete vaccination (second or third dose) or who have a certificate of recovery from the last 120 days are not obliged to quarantine if they come into contact with someone positive, it is only recommended that they be aware of possible symptoms and carrying out a test five days after the risk contact.
In view of this, Serie A intends to put an end to the decisions that are putting several squads in isolation due to positive cases.
