Conor Coady acknowledged that Wolverhampton are a more ‘aggressive’ team this season under Bruno Lage.
Wolves’ team, as it did when coached by Nuno Espirito Santo, plays with three defenders but, now with the coach who has already been at Benfica, seeks to protect the goal more rather than pressuring the opponent after the loss of the ball.
“We’re always proud of not conceding goals, that’s our goal as a defender. We always defend as an organized group to try to protect (José) Sá as much as we can». Coady said.
The Wolves captain also stated that “the team is enjoying learning a new way of playing football.” The 28-year-old English defender praised the Portuguese coach widely: “The coach has been fantastic. The way he speaks, the way he organizes himself, the attention and importance he gives to details is incredible.”
