Luís Castro’s arrival at Botafogo may be accompanied by yet another reinforcement. According to UOL, the carioca emblem is negotiating the hiring of Patrick de Paula from Palmeiras.
Placed in Benfica’s considerations last season, the midfielder should arrive in Rio de Janeiro for a value of around €6 million, which is equivalent to 50 percent of the sporting rights. The same source adds that the 22-year-old midfielder will have already accepted Botafogo’s contractual conditions and is only waiting for the outcome of negotiations between the two emblems.
Formed at Palmeiras, Patrick de Paula made his debut for the main team in 2020. In total, he has scored eight goals in 101 games for the São Paulo team.
