THE BALL – «Be exuberant in celebrating the goal, but not touching» (COVID-19)

The Director-General of Health, Graça Freitas, again addressed the topic of football at the daily press conference to take stock of the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country, reinforcing the appeal to supporters with regard to agglomerations to attend the games.

«Combining games with the legislation in force as far as agglomerations are concerned, namely up to 20 people, 10 in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region, we again call on people to comply with the rules. If you were watching the games in closed spaces, such as in restaurants or cafes, keep a minimum distance of two meters and wear a mask. And another very important thing: do not share objects, such as glasses or bottles. We have made a great appeal to supporters so that if they join, they keep their physical distance and comply with the rules », stressed the director.

Graça Freitas also wanted to make a special appeal: «When celebrating goals, when people lose a little sense of what they do, be exuberant in the celebrations, but without touching, of course, this does not apply to those who live in same house. And again I appeal to civic sense. It was a hard achievement to resume the championship and the attempt to reach the end will be good for everyone, but safe for everyone. We have to ensure that what has been achieved cannot go backwards due to less prudent behavior. »
