The memory of former goalkeeper Neno, who died a year ago, will be immortalized from this Friday, also immortalized in the east bench of the D. Afonso Henriques stadium, the one opposite the entrance of the teams. The bench will be called Bench Neno.
Precisely a year after his death, Neno is highlighted as a unique personality of Vitória and his memory will also last through the extension of his last position at the club, that of ambassador, having been appointed 17 new ambassadors among former personalities linked to the club from Guimarães: Allan Cocato, Abreu, António Pedro Magalhães, Carvalho, Douglas, Flávio Meireles, Laureta, Leonel Olímpio, Manuel Mendes, Miguel, Moreno, Nélson Brízida, Nuno Assis, Paulo Cunha, Rodrigues, Tiago Targino and Quim Berto
The ceremony was attended by President António Miguel Cardoso, also Pedro Proença, president of the League, and Hélder Postiga representing the Federation. Neno’s wife was also present in a very sensitive moment of tribute to such a remarkable personality.
