Maccabi Haifa, Benfica opponent in the Champions League, suffered a heavy defeat at Hapoel Jerusalem (0-3), in a match of the 5th round of the Israeli championship.
Ofek Biton (22 ‘and 35’) and Togui (53 ‘) scored for the hosts.
Maccabi Haifa maintains second place with 12 points, one behind leaders Maccabi Tel Aviv. Third is Hapoel Jerusalem, with 11 points.
