Abel Ferreira analyzed the tie with Bragantino (1-1), in the last round of the group stage of the São Paulo state championship. The Portuguese coach justified the equality of Palmeiras with a question of effectiveness.
“We started well, they scored and we had chances to draw. We did enough for that, but in football what makes the difference is effectiveness, especially in the final result. We played a good game and deserved to have won, even with one less”, he explained.
Deyverson turned out to be both a hero and a villain for Palmeiras. The former Benfica striker equalized the game from penalty, in the 82nd minute, and in the next minute he was sent off for protesting with the referee. A situation that did not please Abel Ferreira.
“He gives everything on the field. He played his part, got a really good penalty and was calm during a tense moment, but then he can’t have that attitude. He is a good heart, but he has to change his behavior because we suffered in the last ten minutes unnecessarily. He knows he made a mistake, he apologized and we will help him while he is here because we give affection to everyone », he concluded.
See Deyverson’s expulsion:
Deyverson said something to Flávio Rodrigues de Souza and took the red.
