At just 15 years old, Endrick has been in the spotlight in Copinha, a junior team competition in Brazilian football. After the match with Novorizontino (2-0), from the state of São Paulo, Abel Ferreira was asked about the possibility of taking the forward to the Club World Cup in February and the Portuguese coach had a curious answer.
“He is 15 years old, he is a kid and I like to look at these players and give time to time. Don’t be in a hurry or anxiety. Sooner or later he will play in the first team, but at 15 years old, God willing, their job is to win the Cup. When that happens the club will give him and his family a trip to Disneyland. The best thing for him is to keep playing, because he’s only 15 years old.”
Remember that Endrick was, in any case, unable to be entered in the Club World Cup, as he does not have a professional contract. Such a bond can only be signed at the age of 16, and Endrick will only complete them on July 21.
