The Ministry of Health reported that 167,228 doses of the annual COVID-19 vaccine were administered. Of this total, 128,473 correspond to health personnel (coverage 17.99%), 14,104 to people with chronic diseases (coverage 0.84%) and 24,651 to the elderly group (coverage 0.69%), according to data from the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS)
In this way, the portfolio updated until yesterday the development of the annual inoculation process started on 11 October and has an estimated target population of 5.9 million people.
Regarding primary vaccination programs against SARS-CoV-2, which considers a target population of 15.2 million people aged 18 and over, 94.27% (14.3 million) completed the own vaccination schedule.
Yesterday, Wednesday, of the target group aged 18 and over, 823 people were immunized. Meanwhile, in the target group between the ages of 3 and 17, 1,130 people were immunized.

As regards the booster doses applied in the population over the age of 3 in the country, a total of 27,313,678 is reached. On the last day, 1,679 doses were administered, of which 742 correspond to people aged 18 and over, and 937 between 3 and 17 years.
With regard to the vaccination of children and adolescents between three and 17 years of age, which includes a total of 3,771,960 people, 88.99% (3,356,825) coverage is achieved with a complete program. In the group between the ages of 12 and 17 there was 98.56% (1,473,608) coverage with the full regime, while the group between the ages of 6 and 11 reached 90.67% (1,405,170) , and in the three to five year old group, 65.75% (478,047).
