This suspicion was also fueled by the fact that no problems were found that affected the high price of cooking oil after nataru. According to him, if the government disburses a subsidy of Rp. 3.6 trillion to disburse cooking oil, according to him irrelevant.

“The logic was initially that the price was high because of the supply and demand. The high demand had already passed, or was there a supply disruption such as a natural disaster or a production disruption. According to my monitoring, it didn’t exist,” he said.

Then, Tulus also responded to the cause of the high price of cooking oil due to the high international price of crude palm oil (CPO). According to him, Indonesia as the largest producer of CPO, should be able to determine the price of domestic CPO.

“We are the largest CPO producer, we are exporters not importers, so we can determine domestic CPO prices. Not international prices for national ones,” he said.
