Bachelorette Sharon Opens Up About Her Illness: ‘Was Very Scared’
To most, the new Bachelorette appears to be a strong, confident, and incredibly strong-willed person. But that wasn’t always the case, as Sharon says at the beginning of the episode. Because the 30-year-old suffers from the disease Alopecia areata, i.e. circular hair loss. She suffered from it for 15 years, put on one medical marathon after the other and shed many tears. Until one day she decided to take her fate into her own hands and shaved off her remaining hair.
With the help of her friends, she dared to take the step that was so important for her – and didn’t regret it for a second. “I knew this was going to be the best thing I’ll ever do,” Sharon said. “But during those few minutes, I don’t think I felt myself. i was scared I was afraid that I would never be able to open up again. never fall in love again That no one will ever find me pretty again.” In the meantime, however, she is very open about it and wants to encourage other people with it. “I hope that I can just help with that.”

Sexy talk on the catamaran – Umut causes resentment
After Sharon’s personal revelation, it’s time for the first group date. Seven men are allowed to board an XXL catamaran together with the bachelorette and have to undress at Sharon’s command. Then follows a rather uncomfortable sex talk with Umut, in which the bachelorette – and all viewers – learn that the candidate goes for “forbidden things”. The fact that he lasciviously strokes the neck of his beer bottle does the rest. While our toenails are secretly turning up, Sharon Umut agrees that we have roughly the same preferences in bed. Well then it’s okay!
The other candidates, who are also on board, but who have not texted Bachelorette with various sex practices, watch Umut with skeptical eyes. And slowly but surely the mood begins to change and a small storm is brewing. Because the men accuse the wild Umut of having pushed too much into the foreground on the group date, which should actually be about EVERYONE having the chance to get closer to Sharon. The argument then continues in the villa and the men agree: Umut has just become a problem.

Because while the men are having their first bro fight, Sharon has chosen one of the men to accompany her on a single date. The choice fell on Jan the florist, who seems to have particularly impressed her. So much so that she gives him a rose in advance and he no longer has to worry about having to leave this week. And then what happens (almost) always happens before two people kiss. It’s getting quiet, the camera zooms in sooo close to the faces and you can feel the sizzling atmosphere directly through the TV. And bang: Jan’s lips are already sticking to those of Sharon.

Jan is also beaming from ear to ear when he tells the others about the date with Sharon and already does pretty much everything better than his predecessor Max (you know, the one who said he wasn’t sexually attracted to Sharon ). “It fits quite well, it harmonizes with kissing. Group date no. 2 was on the program and Sharon received the men in a ball pool. With this, the Bachelorette (i.e. the editorial team of the show) wanted to take the candidates on a journey back to their childhood. First of all, everyone gets a shirt with photos of them as children on it. But the date doesn’t stop at childlike joy, because they also touch on more serious topics. Sharon reports on her difficult relationship with her father and the loss of a good friend. The men also open up and talk about turbulences in their childhood.
For most of them the playing time is already over and they have to leave the ball pit again. Only candidate Lukas is allowed to stay and must tell Sharon what he still has from his childhood. He doesn’t hesitate and reveals that he couldn’t part with his Diddl booklet. Oh, those were the days. For Sharon, it’s a particular pillow that she’s always sucked on the end of. Reason enough for Lukas to make the following comment: “I would actually like to suck on it, I don’t have such a disgust problem.” Okay, wow.
Emanuell is annoying with airs and graces
On the night of the roses, men usually jump at the chance to get to know the bachelorette and get to know her better. However, Emanuell didn’t really understand it and played it “Want to apply, make yourself rare” card. Because as soon as Sharon approaches him, he jumps up and runs away. What does he intend to do with it? Attention, of course. Because the bachelorette has to run after HIM and not the other way around. Welcome to 2022…
Unfortunately, Sharon gets involved in this immature game and seeks a conversation with Emanuell. However, she immediately makes it clear that he’s not the only man on this show and she also has to take care of other candidates. Even after several seasons of this show, some still haven’t understood the principle of the TV format.
However, Emanuell did not shoot himself out with his behavior. Because at this point it’s over for three other men: Maurice, Philip and Yannick get no rose.
