The Bachelor: Popular contestant embroiled in scandal steps forward to clear the air in simple terms

There is still a lot of speculation about “Bachelor” candidate Chiara in episode 5 (TV broadcast: March 29, 2023).

A bad rumor about Chiara spoils the mood on “The Bachelor”: According to this, she only takes part so that she becomes famous enough to become the next “Bachelorette”. Now the candidate takes a stand.

Twelve women are still in the running for the heart of Rosenkavalier David Jackson. In the current episode of “The Bachelor” (Wednesday, 8.15 p.m., RTL), however, two of them take themselves out of the race: Tamara aka Tami and Giovanna aka Gio voluntarily say bye-bye, bachelor! Tami is both “ultra homesick” and this realization: “I just don’t feel that way.”

David Jackson remains composed – even when 27-year-old Giovanna also tells him that she is sitting on packed suitcases. Homesickness is not the reason here, but rather the generally “exhausting” situation: “It doesn’t trigger the feelings that I would have wished for,” she says. “I’m better on my own.”

“Der Bachelor”: The “flow” is right with Yolanda’s single date

Among the remaining women, Yolanda from Hamburg gets one of the coveted single dates. From their point of view, the timing is extremely inconvenient (“I have my period, f.. my life!”), but when dining on the beach and splashing around in the pool, the singles realize that the flow is “flowing” and that they have a lot in common .

Yolanda teases the 32-year-old that he hates licorice, while you can hunt them down with Brussels sprouts. There is no kiss, although there is neither liquorice nor Brussels sprouts on the table: “It wasn’t the moment for it yet,” says the 26-year-old.

Chiara wants to know from her after the date: “Have you made any progress emotionally?” Yolanda’s answer: “Definitely! Well, you can’t do that with the b… now.”

Meanwhile, Alyssa meditates and shares her mantra with the TV world: “Even if I hear something stupid, I’m grateful,” explains the 35-year-old: “I’m grateful that I have ears with which I can hear, and then I write that in my gratitude journal.”

“Bachelor” sister screens the women for brother David

Surprisingly, David Jackson’s twin sister Charlene (32) visits six of the women on a group date with her brother. The grateful Alyssa doesn’t get off very well with her: “I didn’t have the feeling that this was someone who would bring David home,” she says. After intensive cross-examination (“Where do you see yourself in three years?”), Charlene’s favorites are clear: Angelina aka Utze and Rebecca.

The latter scores with her direct manner: “She came across as a very strong woman, a super woman for David!” says Charlene happily. The fact that Utze is also well received by his sister makes the bachelor happy: “I feel like I’m the furthest with her, that was a hit,” he enthuses. However, he still chooses Rebecca for a single date. Competitor Lisa (got her first kiss in the previous “Bachelor” episode) is happy in the villa: “I also gave her my lucky socks!” She says.

Rebecca tries everything: “He could have grabbed me if he wanted to”

ebecca struggles with great nervousness on the date: “He looked incredibly sexy again,” enthuses the 27-year-old. The HR manager uses her time to make her goals clear to the bachelor: “The next partner should be my husband, I don’t want to waste any more time,” she affirms.

David Jackson: “Rebecca impressed me a lot today with her direct manner!” Despite holding hands, there is no kissing – although Rebecca tries almost everything: Statements like “Sometimes I have a stroke in my head with you, I just can’t take it anymore talk” alternate with questions like “When will I get an application?”. Afterwards, Rebecca complains to the other women: “He could have grabbed me if he wanted to.”

The 32-year-old does her the favor later – of all things on the night of the roses. Together they retreat to the balcony, far away from the eyes of the others. Before that, however, the bachelor behaves extremely strangely to super cringe: He provokes the nervous Rebecca: “Was something missing on our date?” She: “Yes, a kiss! I would have wished that you would do that.” He: “I’m really enjoying how excited you are! You can’t handle it!” He grins. Her: “Why are you challenging that now?” He: “Because you’re really excited.”

After staring at her for a long time, he finally pulls her towards him and kisses her firmly before generously saying: “Now the evening is complete, isn’t it?” The 27-year-old also gets an advance rose. Rebecca: “I feel like a 12 year old girl in love right now! I am just happy!”

Candidate Chiara wanted to be “Bachelorette” two years ago

The dispute with competitor Chiara is quickly forgotten. Rebecca had previously confronted her. Why is she spreading rumors about her instead of asking herself if she wants to be “Bachelorette”? Chiara: “I’ll say that now and then it’s good: I applied to the ‘Bachelorette’ two years ago, but wasn’t accepted there.” Rebecca thinks she could tell her that too. Chiara draws her line: “I don’t have to follow people who sprinkle coffee in front of me!”

The two probably won’t be best friends anymore. But Leyla is also anything but enthusiastic about journalist Chiara: “I just find it sad that he puts his main focus on someone who everyone else in the villa has a strange gut feeling about,” she sighs. Chiara pulls the strings in the villa, according to the 26-year-old: “She also has the name ‘boss’ and many are afraid of her,” whispers the integration worker.

In the end, boss Chiara doesn’t have to go. David Jackson sends psychologist and influencer Colleen home: “Somewhere there is a feeling that doesn’t let us connect,” the bachelor says goodbye to the blonde.

She didn’t have the most convincing answer to his question “Did you know me before?”: “I think I know you from Instagram, but I’m not sure if I follow you.” (ch)
