To achieve a bachelor’s degree, students should complete a bachelor’s thesis or comparable academic achievement. In the state parliament’s debate on the law, it was confirmed that judges and prosecutors can still be appointed only with the first and second state examination.
In Thuringia, a degree in traditional law is only possible at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. A bachelor’s degree in law has been available there as a supplementary subject since 2007. In addition to a main subject, you can also study public law, criminal law or civil law. According to the spokesperson, 48 students are currently using this. The wealth of knowledge could also be used when introducing the new course, he said.
