Throughout the day this Friday, June 4, the Virgen de la Peña – Educere Foundation concerted school hosted a blood donation campaign for the Brotherhood of Donors of El Bierzo and Laciana.
Thus concludes this educational project that has involved the entire center along with corresponding stages, to raise awareness and involve students in such an altruistic act as blood donation.
For this, the schoolyard has been decorated with flags, a large mural has been created in which from the youngest to the ESO students have participated. Announcements have been made by the students inviting the villagers to attend the appointment and donate a few “drops” of blood. As the motto of this project says, “drop by drop, we add life.”
Finally, a donation of € 550 collected through the sale of bracelets at school, the price of which went entirely to this cause, has been given to the Donors Brotherhood.
«With the departure of the bus at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, this center project ends with overwhelming success (more than 50 donations), which has sought and managed to promote solidarity, once again, among all the Bembibrenses and the educational community that They have come in a continuous, fluid and orderly way to donate blood. Also from the educational center to thank all those people who unfortunately could not donate due to the large influx of donors.
