According to calculations by the Land Registry Office in Apeldoorn and the Department of Economic Research at Wageningen University (WEcR), this is €2,900/ha or 3% more than the value recorded for the period April-June this year. The average price for the entire year 2023 was exceeded by 10,300 euros/ha, reports the German publication topagrar.
Conversely, the average price for pasture fell by €4,300/ha or 5.6% to €72,500/ha in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter. However, compared to the previous calendar year overall there is a 4% premium.
The desire to sell or buy fields has recently significantly decreased in the short term, he notes. Dutch land market experts estimate that the agricultural area transferred in the reporting quarter was only about 4,990 hectares; or 30.7% less compared to the period April – June 2024. This is the third consecutive decline.
