It is ultimately abouta natural death. The autopsy report spoke after the discovery of the body of an octogenarian on Sunday, in her house in the Ormeau district, south-east of Toulouse, near the Cité de l’Espace.
This 84-year-old woman was found dead at her home on Sunday morning by her son and granddaughter who had come to visit her. Suspicious traces of blood were found in the house. A homicide investigation has been opened. The case moved the inhabitants of this quiet area.
No third party intervention
The octogenarian, who lived alone, was found in her garage Sunday morning around 10 a.m. According to a neighbor,her son and her 4-year-old granddaughter discovered her lying down” et “notified the emergency services”. According to our information, traces of blood were found in different places in the house by law enforcement investigators.
Autopsy performed on Tuesday concluded a natural death. The body bore no traces of blows, the Toulouse prosecutor’s office ruled out the intervention of a third party.
The octogenarian had, in the past, “several strokes which caused falls”. She was on anti-coagulant treatment, which could explain the traces of blood found in the house.
The autopsy report will be forwarded to the prosecution by the police. The investigation will therefore lead to an unfinished classification.
