Passing Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven may cause difficulties for many players, but the developers of the remake decided to please those who are eager to challenge the original, adding to the game “classic”, that is, the maximum level of difficulty.
With him Mafia: Definitive Edition will not become impassable, but much here will resemble the features of the first part. For example, the famous races from the mission “Fair Play”. They will be much easier for all difficulty levels, but on the “classic” players will have to sweat.
In general, the difficulty of driving will also increase. The game will not tell you where to turn off, and the police will punish you even for a minor offense. Therefore, the developers celebratethat it is always better to pay the fine on time. If the player decides to run around an area full of enemies, they will meet him as unfriendly as possible. Enemies here are more aggressive, do more damage, dodge attacks better and are not displayed on the minimap. In addition, first aid kits will be less effective, and automatic health regeneration is limited to 20%.
Also on “classic” difficulty, when reloading a weapon, the player loses all the cartridges remaining in the store. Let’s say there were 38 rounds in Tommy-gun before reloading – and after reloading they will disappear.
The developers note that the difficulty level can be changed at any time in the game, but only those players who will go through the remake at the “classic” level from the very beginning to the end will receive a special achievement.
