Ukrainian developers from GSC Game World should complete the upcoming game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl in Prague. Part of the team is to move to the Czech capital due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. Game journalist Pavel Dobrovský came up with information on his twitter.
Part of the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World (working on Stalker 2) is moving to Prague.

Vortex magazine has been verifiedthat representatives of the Ukrainian studio were in contact with Association of Czech Game Developers. “I can confirm that the GSC studio approached the Association at the beginning of last week, saying that they are looking at the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. They needed help from us regarding legal and employment matters, “the chairman of the association told Vortex Pavel Barák.
The authors of Stalker also communicated with Brno developers from Ashborne Games a CBE Software a s Game Cluster, which brings together game developers from Brno and the surrounding area. In the end, however, according to Vortex’s anonymous sources, they chose Prague. At present, they should apply for business in the Czech Republic. In addition, GSC Game World would not have to be the only Ukrainian company to choose the Czech Republic for its work.
Other developers confirmed to me that GSC is really interested in Prague and the management of the team should have decided for the Czech capital. Interestingly, however, moving to us may potentially affect other Ukrainian studies that were interested in working in the Czech Republic. 🇺🇦🇨🇿🎮

Developers from Ukraine about a week ago confirmed the information that edit the subtitle of the upcoming game. Chernobyl in the title it changes to Chornobylto bring the transcription into English closer to Ukrainian pronunciation instead of Russian.
In January, the game from the original release date of April 28 was postponed to December 8. The developers have not yet confirmed another delay, but it can be expected that Stalker will arrive due to the need to interrupt development a little later. The title is aimed at the PC and Xbox Series, and will also arrive straight to the Game Pass subscription service.
