Jakub Hussar cites the Finnish writer Mike Waltari as his literary role model. The central figure of the intended saga is an important ruler of the Tal mining industry. But her space journey to the planet Coraab and the colonization of her new home is only part of the great world that Hussar has been building for twenty years.
“The planet Coraab is a landfill world, a strange toxic planet, which, by coincidence, has developed a culture that is very diverse, ethnic and has similar problems as we do on Earth, so it’s a realistic, living world whose history continues,” explains .
The Roman is to speak Latin
The story takes place in the antiquity of the fictional world. In the text, Hussar was not afraid to use even words from a language that was created especially for the planet Coraab. “Maybe connoisseurs, Star Trek connoisseurs will say, a little Klingon. It’s also a bit Mongolian. I think that the language is very harsh and voiced and can be spoken normally, “he explains.
He invented his own speech for the heroes of the saga, because he wants his historical science fiction to be as authentic as possible. Creating a new world in the details of credibility helps.

“If I talk about a culture, then that culture must be thought through to the letter. I’m a fan of really tight things, to give an example: when Mel Gibson made Apocalypto, it was in the ancient language of the Aztecs, it gave him that seriousness. When a series about Romans is filmed, as soon as the Romans speak Latin, it’s hugely powerful, because the Roman just doesn’t speak British English, “he explains.
Also music, film and play
Music, accessible through QR codes, should also draw the reader deeper into the story. The author himself also composed here. “If I’m trying to situate the reader into the story that the heroine is locked in a ship flying somewhere, then I want the ship to be heard, the engines roaring there, until the reader tunes in to the atmosphere with another sense, because I think that it’s all about the atmosphere, ”says Hussar.
Music and literature are his hobbies, but he studied film and makes a living as a director and idea maker. He looked like Coraab in 2007 in his graduate film Skeletons. The entwined sci-fi world is also inspired by a computer card game.

“I’m a playful and visual person, but I dare say that the strongest experience so far is probably through literature,” admits Hussar. “A person’s brain works completely differently when he reads a written word than when he just looks at something passively.”
At the same time, he adds that he does not consider the book processing of his sci-fi universe to be the final station. “I would definitely like to move on to create new, let’s say, products, whether comics or adult TV series, from that environment. I expect that we will hopefully hear more about Coraab, “he plans.
So far, it is certain that it will expand the literary story. The second volume of 0 Tu should be published in mid-June.
