The Argentine band, which mixes rock and ska with Latin American rhythms, will release its first film in movie theaters. The group assures that more than a documentary, the film is a show. “’Monumental Decadentes – The Movie’ shows the most epic moments of the incredible show that the band gave at the Monumental Plaza de Toros in Mexico in May 2024,” reads a statement.
The film has moments that pay homage to great classics of universal cinema, representing genres such as western, horror, comedy, psychological thriller, science fiction and even Hollywood-style biopic.
“Through anachronistic mini-stories, Los Auténticos Decadentes take on the role of movie stars by transforming into surreal characters who inhabit bizarre worlds, where the laws of humor and absurdity rule,” they add.
The film will be released simultaneously in theaters in Argentina, Paraguay and Mexico. The release date for Colombia has not yet been confirmed. The live show features special guest appearances by Los Caligaris, Systema Solar and Conociendo Rusia.
