Original article: The Austrian ambassador in Bucharest, Adelheid Floie, will not attend President Klaus Iohannis’ meeting with the ambassadors of EU member states accredited in Bucharest on Tuesday, a representative of the Austrian embassy told G4Media.
“The ambassador is not in the country,” the embassy representative said.

Diplomatic relations between Romania and Austria are at an all-time low following Austria’s December 8 veto of Romania’s entry into Schengen. Romania withdrew its ambassador from Vienna and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed the Austrian ambassador an official protest against the JAI Council’s vote.
