The Canberra government has been rocked by claims of sex acts and allegations of rape involving government staff in recent weeks.
The scandal began when former government staffer Brittany Higgins filed a claim that she was raped at work by a colleague in 2019. According to Higgins, she was attacked in the office of a minister in the Parliament Building complex.
On Monday, claims of further sexual misconduct took place at Parliament House, where photos and videos of a government official performing a solo sex act were broadcast by channel 10 News.
One of the videos shown showed a government official committing a sexual act in a prayer room in the Parliament Building. The photos and videos were leaked by people inside the Parliament Building.
Morrison, in a press conference on Tuesday, described the latest sex scandal report as “embarrassing”.
