The August player in the league is the Spartan Juliš, coach Kotal

Sparta dominated the League Football Association’s (LFA) poll, which governs the first and second leagues, for the best player and coach for the opening month of the new league season. The best player in August was forward Lukáš Juliš, with Václav Kotal winning among the coaches. The LFA informed about it in a press release.

Twenty-five-year-old Juliš registered among the shooters three times in the first two rounds. First, he helped the Letna team with a goal to win 4: 1 on the field of the newcomer from Brno, in the following round he contributed with two goals to the triumph 3: 0 over Olomouc, in whose jersey he was a guest in the spring. In the poll, Juliš surpassed teammates Bořek Dočkal and Slavic striker Stanislav Tecl.

Kotal, 67, succeeded Jindřich Trpišovský of Slavia and Juraj Jarábek of Karviná. Sparta under his leadership entered the new year in a new line-up 3-5-2. Due to the worse score, he is second to the defending champion and the biggest rival Slavia.

In the LFA poll, journalists vote with three votes on three players and coaches of the month, from which fans will select the winners of both categories.
