Especially when in the segment that appeals to demanding clients, it is always necessary to use the most modern technology. Facelift A8 is really just around the corner, and according to behind-the-scenes reports, it will bring a completely new derivative.
It is supposed to be a new super-luxurious design that will be at the top of the offer of this flagship four circles. He has been talked about for a long time, and the brand management has already officially confirmed his arrival. After all, shortly after the launch of the current A8 generation, there was talk that its offer could be expanded by a top derivative. In the viewfinder, it should primarily have a luxury Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
Following his example, there is talk of reviving the historical name. According to behind-the-scenes reports, the super-luxury Audina could be called Horch, which is actually the original name of today’s Audi. The company was founded in 1899 by a certain August Horch, former director of the engine design department for Karel Benz, who, however, had to leave it after disagreements with his partners. And so he founded the company Audi, whose designation in Solomon referred to the surname of the founder. Audi in Latin means “hear”, the same as in German Horch. Later, Audi merged with Horch, within the interwar Auto Union concern.

In addition, the name Horch would suit the super-luxurious variant of the A8, as this brand has historically focused on luxury cars. It used to actually compete with Maybach.
More detailed information about the novelty is not yet known, except for the effort to use the most modern and luxurious equipment, as well as the assumption that the basis will be an extended version of the A8 L. Still not sure about the use of the historical name. However, the recently captured prototypes of the modernized A8 bear a new feature on the C-pillars of the body hidden under a layer of camouflage, which would really indicate the arrival of the A8 Horch.
Technology in the bowels should also be associated with the highest level of luxury. There is talk that the Audi A8 Horch will get a six-liter petrol twelve-cylinder petrol engine into the W, the arrival of which was already mentioned at the premiere of the current A8 generation. However, the car never officially survived it, although it is said that the engine known from today’s Bentley Audi can be delivered on special order.
