In a second instance ruling, the Attorney General’s Office confirmed the dismissal and general disqualification of the former mayor of Campoalegre, Huila, Aldemar Gutiérrez Muñoz (2016 – 2019), for irregularities in the signing of a contract for the legalization of urban tax properties and rural areas, as well as the execution of conservation and protection of natural resources works, for $126 million.

Likewise, the Entity highlighted that Gutiérrez Muñoz was not allowed to go to that type of legal business, established with the Provincial Center Corporation for Agro Business Management of the Eastern Center of Huila, which did not have the suitable personnel for its execution.

The Public Ministry stated that the former mayor violated the principles of transparency, morality and responsibility, as well as the duty of objective selection in hiring, for which it classified his conduct as very serious offenses committed as a result of very serious fault.
