El attempt by two pilots to swap planes mid-flight was unsuccessful. Skydivers Luke Aikins and Andy Farrington launched the Plane Swap challenge, the Latest ‘craze’ organized by RedBull that had been going on for the last 10 years.

The event was held in Arizona (United States). Each pilot rode a Cessna 182 to 14,000 feet, 4,000 meters, then put it into a vertical drop (with a controlled rate of descent of 225 km/h) and jumped into the air (the plane was left without a crew for a few seconds). and try to change planes. All in just over a minute.

Luke Aikins managed to get out of his plane and into the cockpit of the other plane. Andy Farrington didn’t make it. Not being able to access the other plane, he finally had to activate his parachute. The plane, without a pilot, was damaged when it hit the ground.
