The attacker for the Imam of the Friday Prayers at the Grand Mosque claimed the Imam Mahdi

MEKKAH, KOMPAS.TV – The attacker of Imam Salat Jumat at the Grand Mosque believes he is a savior, Imam Mahdi.

The attack was known to have occurred during Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque, Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Friday (21/5/2021).

At that time, the perpetrator tried to approach the Imam of the Friday Prayers, Sheikh Al Baleelah, who was preaching.

The perpetrator at that time approached the pulpit with a stick, which was believed to be his weapon.

However, he was stopped by a number of security officers including, Mohammed Al Zahrani, who brought him down.

Quoted from Arab News, the police revealed that the attacker considered himself to be the Imam Mahdi.
