V Monday, Ventsislav Angelov-Chicago attacked a general practitioner in Ruse’s Novo Selo office and his footage was broadcast live on a social network. Angelov was detained the same day, and later the Ruse District Court remanded him in custody. He will be held responsible for the fact that he broke into the office, attacked and breathed Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov, the program says. “Hello Bulgaria“.
Four days after the attack, Dr. Ivanov said he never imagined he could be a victim of aggression while receiving medical treatment.
“The man in question, whom I don’t know, burst into the office,
together with one of my local patients, and they started with an arrogant tone, with shouts, screams, you saw it from the videos, asking me provocative questions about her husband’s death. At first I decided to get involved and answer normally, but they were not looking for answers. Their goal was obviously a provocation, “said the doctor.
The doctor says that at first it was difficult for him to understand that he was being held responsible for a deceased patient after a vaccine..
And he tried to explain to the deceased’s wife that her husband had contracted COVID-19 and had been admitted to hospital for treatment. And only the epicrisis could clarify his condition. The fight broke out when the doctor asked not to be photographed and invited people to leave his office.

and he started asking me about some brief characteristics, where I just pushed him, he had a phone stand and this guy went crazy and freaked out – he started pushing me with one hand, broke my glasses, skinned me and we argued – that’s it. the whole thing, “Dr. Ivanov recalls.
To Ventsislav Angelov’s claim that the doctor had broken his nose, he replied:
“He can say anything. I have a wound behind my ear, abrasions on my left temple, I have a bruise on my neck on this side, where he knocked me down.”
And while the doctor shows the received injuries, for which he has a medical certificate, he explains that for 22 years of practice in Novo Selo he has not experienced such a thing. And he did not believe that it was possible to fall victim to such aggression.
“How to feel a person who has fallen to the floor,
scared, humiliated, offended by all this? “the doctor asks.
Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov has filed a complaint with the police. He will discuss with his lawyers whether to file a civil case against Ventsislav Angelov. The incident will not stop him from caring for patients from three villages.
“This is another unacceptable action. We are in our offices to help people, we are not fighting with our patients,” the doctor said.
To show their support for their doctor and condemn the aggression against medics, people from several villages gathered for a peaceful demonstration in downtown Novo Selo.
