“The man was wearing black glasses and a medical mask. In an instant, he took a grenade out of his bag and began to threaten to blow it up if he was not given the money,” the source said.

However, the cashier was able to call the security service and the hapless robber quickly fled the scene. The guards who arrived did not find the criminal, but the police tracked his path on video cameras.

The suspect in the robbery was a 33-year-old resident of Kiev, who lives across the house from the exchange office. The man has not been previously convicted, now he is temporarily not working. According to the source, there is no doubt that it was he who carried out the attack, although the criminal managed to get rid of the grenade. “During the search they did not find her,” our interlocutor added.

A Kiev resident who committed such an “unsuccessful” robbery now faces up to seven years in prison.
