New York.- The Spanish footballer Jesús Álvarez Riesco, makes a big turning point in his professional life, becoming an entrepreneur with the company “1990 Group” in New York City, where he organizes important events in the most exclusive places in Manhattan for celebrities and brands from Worldwide.
Jesús Álvarez says after his 04 years of college soccer playing in the NCAA, several professional teams contacted him, including the NY Cosmos, he didn’t think for a minute since at that time he was playing one of his childhood idols, the former Real Madrid and Spanish team captain Raúl González.
“My last professional contract was in 2021 in a NISA football league team, where I played for six months, as the world of events was stopped due to the COVID problem, it was not an easy decision to retire from professional soccer to dedicate myself 100% to the world of events, but after 3 years in the NY Cosmos and not having many minutes and not having a very high salary, I decided to stop playing and start in this sector, creating with my friends ( Ricardo and Daniel) the group company from 1990, which organizes events and I really don’t regret it, I am very passionate about what I do”, expressed Jesús Álvarez Riesco.
Álvarez comments that since he was a child he has always liked the theme of hospitality and events and very soon, finding himself in New York, he understood that it was what he wanted to do. His dream is to have a chain of restaurants, discos, lounges, beach clubs around the world together with their 1990 group partners
“I’m passionate about everything about this, I like the work I do, but what excites me the most is that people who were my idols when I was little and you used to follow him now call me to help them with their reservations and organize every kind of events,” Alvarez noted.
The talented former footballer works constantly with great personalities such as Nicky Jam, Alfa, Jbalvin, Jowel&Randy, Oscar Casas, Marko, Ronaldo, several Real Madrid players, Kyrios and politicians, Queen Sofia of Spain and the current Spanish government president Pedro Sanchez.
