Oviedo’s appointment of the World Cheese Awards keep going. This has been decided at the meeting of its management committee that, this morning, was held in Oviedo to resume its activity after the end of the State of Alarm.
The meeting was attended by, among others, the Minister of Rural Development, Agriculture and Fisheries, Alejandro Calvo, the Councilor for Tourism and Congresses of the Oviedo City Council, Alfredo Garcia Quintana, and the president of the Cheese Institute, Luisa villegas.
The appointment will take place between November 4 and 7 at the Palacio de Congresos de Oviedo and its surroundings. Its organizers expect the presence of more than 4,000 cheeses, 300 judges and 20,000 visitors.
The event, which is valued as an opportunity for Asturias and its cheeses, but also for the entire regional agri-food sector, will have a professional part, whose main activity will be the celebration of a scientific and technological congress on cheeses, and a social one, for all the public, in which all Asturians will be able to participate, enjoy and taste products from all over the world.
