Quoting from Ruangangkasa.com, Antares star is a giant star in the universe. This star is a red supergiant star in the constellation Scorpio in the Milky Way galaxy and is the 16th brightest star in the night sky, along with Aldebaran, Spica, and Regulus.
Apart from that, the star Antares is also the four brightest stars near the ecliptic. According to scientists, the distance between Antares and planet Earth itself is around 604 light years.
This red star has a diameter 700 times the diameter of the Sun, so it is estimated that Antares is capable of swallowing Mars’ orbit if it is in the solar system.

If Antares were placed in the center of our solar system, its outer surface would lie between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, in the Asteroid belt, Antares is about 550 light years (or 170 parsecs) from earth.
