The members of the BZH New York association elected, during a general assembly on April 12, the Brestois Mathieu Sassolas, professor of computer science at the community college (university) of Queensborough, in Queens, as president. The association’s voluntary webmaster for five years, he takes over the duties of Kat Bride, an American of Irish origin attached to Celtic culture and Brittany, who did not wish to carry out a new mandate. She remains a member of the BZH New York office, which has around 100 active members and nearly 2,000 recipients of its newsletter. She organizes a “garden party” in Central Park every September, which is very crowded. The association is also invited to wear the gwen ha du during the traditional Irish parade on Saint Patrick’s Day.
