Lois was a little girl with amazing energy. And even if her smile was not enough to beat the cancer, her face continues to be the symbol of resistance to the disease. It is, in any case, the objective that his mother, Valérie Deram, has set herself.
After the death of her daughter at the age of 4 and a half, this mother from Maxéville launched an association, “warrior Loïs”, which bears her first name and tries to help sick children and their parents. .
A way to transcend the drama that hit her and turn it into a useful fight for others. The association is celebrating its first year of existence and has about a hundred members. Which is pretty bad. On the other hand, on the donation side, it has been struggling to take off since the beginning of 2022.

Hot air balloon flight and Leechi kitty
“We feel that life is difficult at the moment and that people don’t have a lot of means”, observes Valérie Deram who is not discouraged for all that: “I knew that it would not be easy and that it would be necessary constantly restarting the machine. What is surprising, on the other hand, is that it is often all or nothing: you come up against closed doors or, conversely, people come to you to propose projects”.
Some partners thus appeared after being touched by his story and that of his daughter. This is the case of a person in charge of the Yellow-Green driving school in Lunéville who gives 5 € to her association on each youth package. The F2R association, which organizes running races, donates €1 per bib.

An improv troupe also donated the proceeds of its show to the MJC Bazin last February and the Saulxures football club plans to donate €1 per meal at its annual party on June 19.
On the action side, “Guerrière Loïs” has resumed hot air balloon flights with the “Handi Blue” association. “The children and their parents also take part in setting up the basket and inflating the balloon. My daughter was over the moon when she did it, ”recalls Valérie Deram.
In addition to the animation of a stand during the strawberry festival in Maxéville on the weekend of June 4-5, it will also and above all participate in the start of the school year in “Golden September”, a major national operation in favor of children with cancer which brings together several associations in the Grand Est.
