The artistic director of the Yermolova Theater, Oleg Menshikov, said that the Russian artist and director Sergei Bodrov Jr., who died in 2002. did not have outstanding acting skills. He announced this in a conversation with the publication “Arguments and Facts”.
In an interview, the theatrical figure admitted that he did not work with artists who did not receive professional acting education, but noted that Bodrov Jr. was an exception.
“I starred with Serezha in two films, I was friends with him. Whoever tells me that he had outstanding acting skills will lie. He did not possess those, ”Menshikov shared. The artistic director of the Yermolova Theater emphasized that the star of the film “Brother” was endowed with other talents: personal and social virtues.

Sergei Bodrov Jr. died on September 20, 2002 in the Karmadon Gorge in North Ossetia due to a glacier descent. In the Caucasus, Bodrov Jr. created the film “The Messenger”, the director’s team began the filming process in early September. All members of the group who were on Karmadon are still considered missing.
