The Arsenal squad returned to practice today, with a view to the start of the official competition in the 2021 season, with the start of the Professional Football League (LPF) competition.
The team trained at the Julio Humberto Grondona stadium in the town of Sarandí, under the leadership of DT Sergio Rondina.
The Uruguayan striker Jhonatan Candia, who could not move from Montevideo and will only do so in the next few hours, and the young attacker Matías Belloso, who was giving an investigative statement in a Mar del Plata court, were not present, since he was suspected of participate in the aggression of a young man in a bowling alley in the targeted seaside resort.
There were no new faces, except that of Matías Giordano, who joined the coaching staff and will be the team’s new goalkeeping coach. The 41-year-old ex-guardian stopped in Chacarita Juniors, Quilmes, Talleres de Córdoba, All Boys, Huracán, Comunicaciones and Brown de Adrogué, among other clubs.
Striker Facundo Pons also participated in the practice, despite an eventual interest from Guabirá of Bolivia to take over his services.
In another order, Arsenal already has a match confirmed by the 32nd finals of the Argentine Cup. It will be on Thursday 28 of the current against Hurricane Las Heras de Mendoza, in the Estudiantes de Buenos Aires field. (Télam)
