The police dropped a gang that seized citizens’ money and personal belongings by a woman who lured them to an apartment in Minya, until they were arrested and confessed to having committed the crimes.
The defendants said in their confessions: “We use a woman to lure the victims to seize their money, as we knew from a young man that his father is rich, so we lured him with a woman to an apartment and seized his money and forced him to sign a trust receipt, and we did not know that we would be cut off in the hands of the police so quickly, and we regret what we did.” .
The Ministry of Interior’s apparatus revealed the circumstances of what was reported to the Minya Police Station in the Minya Security Directorate by (a person – a resident of the center’s district) who introduced him to (a woman) via the social networking site “Facebook” and that she lured him and took him to one of the houses in the center’s district. Upon his arrival, he was surprised by the presence of (3 people). They assaulted him, documented him, and confiscated (a sum of money – his personal belongings) from him, then they went to his place of residence and seized (ownership contracts for a house and his own land) and forced him to sign (6 trust receipts) and took him in a car owned by one of them and abandoned him on the road.
By conducting investigations and collecting information with the participation of the Public Security Sector and the Minya Security Directorate, the perpetrators of the incident were identified and arrested (4 people, “three of whom have criminal information”).. In confronting them, they confessed to committing the incident, and one of them added that he had identified (the victim’s son) and learned from his son that his father was well off. The case decided to lure him and steal him in partnership with the rest of the accused and instructed about the receipts of the secretariat and the contracts for the victim and the car used in the incident.
