The army mourns two retired brigadier generals

The Army Command – Orientation Directorate mourned the retired Administrative Brigadier General Elias Seikaly, who died on 11/29/2023, and the following is an overview of his life: “Born on: 4/22/1935 in Mieh and Mieh – Sidon. He volunteered in the army on 10/7 / 1957, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant on 9/16/1960, then he rose through the promotion to the rank of brigadier general as of 1/1/1988. He received several medals and was mentioned and congratulated by the General Commander of the Army several times. The deceased followed several study courses at home and abroad. He is married and has three children.

The body of the deceased will be transported tomorrow at 9:30 from the Central Military Hospital to the Miraculous Church of Our Lady of Annunciation – Baabda, where the funeral will be held on the same date at 12:30, after which it will be transported to his hometown of Mieh Mieh – Sidon, and he will be buried in the family cemetery. Condolences will be accepted on 11/29/2023 and 12/1/2023, starting at 10:30 until 18:00 in the hall of the church mentioned above, or by calling his son François on phone number 192713/79.

The leadership also mourned retired Brigadier General Hafez Naoum, who died on 11/28/2023, and the following is an overview of his life: “Born on: 9/21/1945 in Beirut, volunteered in the army on 10/1/1968, and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.” On August 1, 1971, he was then promoted to the rank of Brigadier General as of March 11, 1998. He received several medals and was praised by the Army Commander and congratulated several times. The deceased followed several academic courses at home and abroad. He was married and had three children.

The body of the deceased will be transferred tomorrow at 11:00 from Martin Hospital – Jbeil to the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross – Stone Face – Batroun, where the funeral will be held on the same date at 15:00. Condolences will be accepted on 11/29/2023 and 12/1/2023, starting at 15:00 and ending at 19:00. 11/30/2023, starting from 10:00 until 19:00 in the hall of the church mentioned above.
