The General Staff stressed that if there is a threat to the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, combat drones will be used again.
The Ukrainian army will use Bayraktar attack drones in Donbas every time there is a threat to the lives of military personnel. This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Shaptala on the air of a talk show freedom of speech Savik Shuster Friday, November 5th.
Thus, the military man confirmed that the reuse of the mentioned UAVs is not excluded.
“We are currently using Bayraktar in case of threats. If there is a threat to our military and it is necessary to extinguish this threat in order to save the lives of the military, then we use Bayraktar,” Shaptala stressed.
At the same time, he noted that we are talking about “situational point application”.
We will remind, on October 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used the Bayraktar strike drone for the first time in the Donbass. This was done in response to the shelling of D-30 howitzers, as a result of which one defender was killed and two were wounded.
The Kremlin said that the incident could lead to destabilization of the situation on the line of contact.
