The Argentine Chamber of Fertilizer and Agrochemical Industry, Concerned About Access to Finance – Comercio y Justicia

The Argentine Chamber of Fertilizer and Agrochemical Industry (Ciafa) has sent a note to the Secretary of Agriculture, Juan José Bahillo, and to other officials, such as the Secretary of Internal Trade, Matías Tombolini, and the president of the Central , Miguel Pesce, for the problems that must matter.
The aforementioned letter warned that “the supply of fertilizers and plant protection products will be compromised”, on the basis of changes in the conditions and payment criteria for imports. In addition, the institution requested that the financing terms be kept at 60 days and that there be greater facilities for access to the foreign exchange market.
All this at a time when the Government, through the Ministry of Economy, has launched an incentive plan for small and medium-sized soy and corn producers, with the aim of making a non-repayable contribution for the purchase of seeds and fertilizers.
