The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Arab Women’s Club Games held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Committee, during which it reviewed the most important developments regarding the seventh edition, whose activities will be held next year from February 2 to 12, 2024, in addition to discussing the reports of the tournament and the proposals submitted to facilitate its work. and achieve its goals.
The meeting discussed developments in the upcoming session at the organizational, coordination and logistical levels, as the Supreme Committee for the session determined the tasks assigned to the committees, and reviewed the numbers of participating clubs up to the date of the meeting. The Supreme Committee also revealed the list of sports facilities hosting competitions and games, and a schedule of hospitality facilities.
The Supreme Organizing Committee for the tournament announced that it would continue to receive registration requests from various Arab clubs for the eight games it had approved, which are: volleyball, table tennis, basketball, archery, bow and arrow, fencing, athletics, and karate. Registration is open for clubs and teams from all Arab countries to participate in games and competitions, through communication with the club federations representing the games in each country.
Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the seventh edition of the tournament, confirmed that the Arab Women’s Club Games embody on the ground the trends of the Emirate of Sharjah towards supporting the process of women’s excellence in various sectors, and expresses its culture in promoting the values of constructive competition to advance the energy of every individual. In society and not just women, pointing out that the tournament has reached a prominent international status among local, Arab and regional sports tournaments, thanks to the guidance and support of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation.
