Among the issues that will be voted on is the participation of the Armed forces in support of the Police against organized crime, allow the extradition of Ecuadorians, establish courts in constitutional matters, recognize international arbitrations and make the labor market more flexible with temporary and hourly contracts.

Likewise, Ecuadorians will vote on whether they wish to reform the penal code to increase penalties for crimes of terrorism and its financing, drug trafficking, organized crime, murder, contract killing, human trafficking, kidnapping for ransom, arms trafficking, money laundering and illegal mining. .

There will also be consultation to eliminate prison benefits for those convicted of crimes of financing terrorism, recruitment of children and adolescents for criminal purposes, kidnapping for ransom, drug trafficking, illegal mining, illegal possession of weapons, extortion, influence peddling and front men, among others. crimes.

Another question seeks to classify the crime of possession or carrying of weapons, ammunition or components that are for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces or the National Police.
