Suzuki Grand Vitara the latest generation was officially introduced at the 2023 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). Unlike the previous Grand Vitara model which carried a 2,393 cc jumbo engine, the latest Grand Vitara uses a smaller engine, namely 1,462 cc. Then what is the attractiveness of the new Grand Vitara in the eyes of potential customers?
“Grand Vitara is one of the cars that has high appeal for visitors who are present at the Suzuki booth. Apart from its compact dimensions, the Grand Vitara also exhibits a blend of advanced technology that is environmentally friendly and features with high specifications to support a new driving experience,” said 4W Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) Marketing Director, Donny Saputra, in his official statement.
The last time SIS marketed the Grand Vitara was in 2017, with a 2.4 liter engine cubication. At that time the position of the Grand Vitara became a challenger to the Honda CR-V. Now with a more compact engine supported by a contemporary design, the Grand Vitara competes with the Honda HR-V, Hyundai Creta and Kia Sonet.
One of the visitors to the Suzuki booth named Rosi said that the latest Grand Vitara has advantages in terms of hybrid technology embedded in the engine. Not only that, the Grand Vitara has a larger body, making it more comfortable for passengers.
“Actually, since 2014, my family and I have been using Suzuki. Even now, we are still using the All New Ertiga for daily mobility. Now our goal is to find a bigger vehicle, and it fits perfectly with the release of the Grand Vitara. My first impressions are “With a larger car body design, the Grand Vitara looks more manly and modern. In my personal opinion, this car will be very attractive to SUV seekers, especially with embedded hybrid technology,” said Rosi.
The same thing was conveyed by another visitor, Fandi, who said that the first attraction of a car is its external appearance. “To be honest, personally, when I look at the car, I definitely see the outside appearance first. If the outside appearance is not attractive, usually we ordinary people do not continue to look at the car’s features and equipment any further,” said Fandi.
According to Fandi, the external appearance of the car will encourage potential customers to dig deeper into the technology, specifications and features offered by the car. Fandi added, following the current trend that a car that looks more modern, looks sturdy and sophisticated, will be the main choice of potential customers. “The Grand Vitara looks very modern, especially when compared to the old model. The Grand Vitara car also looks sturdy and advanced,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Ali, the next visitor who gave his testimony, said that Suzuki cars are indeed attractive and well-known for their durability. “For those who are looking for a family car similar to an SUV, maybe the Suzuki Grand Vitara can be used as an alternative. Especially because the model is adapted to current needs and trends,” said Ali.
