The appeal demanding the resignation of Kaja Kallas gathered 30,000 signatures

Nearly 30,000 people signed the appeal initiated by the Center Party for the resignation of Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, and on Tuesday the Center Party will hand them over to the chairman of the Riigikogu, Lauri Hussar.

The collection of signatures initiated by the Center Party was caused by growing dissatisfaction in society with the decisions of the government led by the Reform Party and at the same time with what was happening in the economy. “Estonian families are getting poorer, companies are going bankrupt and unemployment is increasing,” stated the Center Party. The party does not think it is right that the prime minister is focusing on tax increases and cuts at a time when people should be helped.

The Riigikogu is obliged to discuss a collective appeal for which the support signatures of at least 1,000 Estonian citizens have been collected.

Central Party chairman Mihhail Kõlvart, general secretary Anneli Ott and members of the party’s Riigikogu faction will hand over the 30,000 signatures collected on the appeal demanding the resignation of Kaja Kallas to Riigikogu chairman Lauri Hussar at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
