In Yordanovden in Kalofer, the so-called men’s dance took place in the waters of the Tundzha River. In Kalofer, this year marks the 50th anniversary of the first entry into the river.

The youngest participant this year is Teodor – one and a half years old.

One of the longest-lived divers is a 60-year-old man who entered the river for the 48th time.

In recent years, hundreds have come to Hristo Botev’s city to experience the tradition first-hand. At noon, guests of Kalofer can also attend the celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Hristo Botev. The celebration will be attended by the Vice President of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova.
