Drake concert Apollo
Drake had to stop performing at the Apollo Theater in New York on Sunday night after an ‘overexcited’ fan fell from the balcony.
When Drake brought rapper 21 Savage onto the stage, about 90 minutes into his set at the historic Harlem Theater, a man fell from the balcony, right next to the sound engineer.
Another source explains that he hadn’t actually fallen, but rather “jumped into the crowd from the balcony because he was too excited!“
Warned by members of his team, Drake then decided to interrupt his concert: ” We’re just gonna make sure everybody’s okay “. The concert was therefore suspended for fifteen minutes.
According to an Apollo representative quoted by TMZ, “the fan and other audience members reported that they were fine. No major injuries were reported“.
