The Aponiente and Antonio restaurants close due to covid-19 | Radio Cádiz

The Aponiente restaurant, known as ‘Chef of the sea’, Angel Leon, has issued a statement in which they explain that they have detected three coronavirus positives among its staff of 60 employees. They have learned of the infections after the workers underwent a voluntary PCR test.

The establishment, located in El Puerto de Santa María, indicates that they have made the decision “For honesty, ethics and responsibility, being consistent with the situation and even with the sadness that generates us not being able to continue making our guests enjoy, we have to communicate that our facilities will be temporarily closed on a voluntary basis until we can guarantee that we continue to maintain all security measures for our customers and for our crew ”.

The laboratories that have been in charge of carrying out the tests have already reported the results, and according to Aponiente, “our crew is working on investigating the extent of the contagion following the established protocols.”

And in Zahara, the restaurant with almost 40 years old, Antonio, has also reported the positive from one of your waiters. Establishment sources inform this station that they have learned of the contagion of their employee this afternoon and that “Immediately”, they have decided to close the public. Tomorrow, its 60-person staff will do the PCR and next week, another test.

Only the restaurant will be closed. The hotel, owned by the same owners, will continue to operate normally and “scrupulously respecting, as up to now, sanitary measures.”
