The company of Antonio Gades returns to main theater, this time with the show “Fire”, from 15 to 18 December Debuted at the Théâtre Châtelet in Paris in 1989 under the direction of Antonio Gades and Carlos Saura, “Fire” It is inspired by Manuel de Falla’s Amor Brujo, recorded with the National Orchestra of Spain, conducted by Jesús López Cobos and with pieces performed by Rocío Jurado.
“Fire” was presented with Carmen-like scenographic minimalism, closing an artistic circle that allowed it to return to interiors showing only elements such as a hanging clothesline and great lighting. “Fuoco”, with a style assimilated to Antonio Gades himself, who in many moments even resembles him with his personal positions of the arms, elongated trunk and lowered chin, is accompanied by a fire dance that remains in the viewer’s retina, together with Falla’s beautiful score interspersed with popular scenes.
