As we already announced on Monday, the GeForce RTX 4070 is going to launch on April 13. Rumor has it that Nvidia plans to separate the publication of reviews of the models available at the recommended price from the publication of reviews of the more expensive variants. It is not yet known whether on April 12 it will happen to those with an official price and a day later to the others, or if it will be set differently.

What does seem familiar, however, is the suggested retail price (MSRP). HardwareTimes says it should be $699. If we go through the articles published in the past days and weeks that contain any price estimate, this amount is either higher than the most commonly reported ($649) or at the upper end of the reported range. At the same time, it is the same amount as the GeForce RTX 3080 or GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. We will not evaluate for the time being until this figure is officially confirmed. The price difference between GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4070 would be relatively small, about 2,750 CZK for the cheapest cards (they would still be around 19,250 CZK).
Needless to say, there have been reports of even higher prices: $749 for the reference cards and $799 for the OC models. However, $799 is actually the recommended price of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, which would make the GeForce RTX 4070 OC models worthless. However, given that a year ago there were enough customers willing to pay a higher price for the GeForce RTX 3050 than the GeForce RTX 3060 (because most reviews praised it to the sky), there would certainly be a buyer for the GeForce RTX 4070 at $749-799, so even this possibility cannot be dismissed for the time being.
I have supplemented the specification table according to the data provided by VideoCardz and TechPowerUp. They don’t match in some details (eg TDP), so I preferred the more likely variant.
